Community Health Education That Connects Knowledge to Everyday Life
β
Higher Than Health Wellness Charity is a pharmacist-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing evidence-based health education and chronic disease prevention resources to underserved communities in Southern Dallas, including Oak Cliff, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Cedar Hill. We help people understand their health, ask informed questions, and take practical steps toward healthier lives.
β
Founded in loving memory of Daron R. Cathey, a Navy veteran who battled diabetes, HTH brings compassionate education into the community through our Wellness Sundays series, health fairs, and local partnerships. Our programs combine interactive lessons, hands-on demonstrations, games, movement activities, and take-home resources covering diabetes, heart health, blood pressure, cholesterol, lung health, nutrition, and mental wellness.
β
Our Impact—and Growing
β
In 2025, HTH reached approximately 230 people through seven wellness events, connecting community members with practical health education, wellness resources, and local healthcare professionals. We are building on that foundation by developing new partnerships and expanding opportunities to bring accessible health education to more neighbors.
Every donation, volunteer, and partnership helps support educational materials, program supplies, guest speakers, and welcoming community events. Together, we can bring health knowledge closer to the people who need it.
β
Join an upcoming Wellness Sunday, volunteer your time, or donate to help our impact grow.
